"Bridging for Tomorrow: Third Mainland Bridge Repair Takes Center Stage"

The Nigerian government is set to initiate crucial repairs on the Third Mainland Bridge, announcing the closure of the Iyana Oworonshoki-Adeniji Adele section starting at 11 am on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

Mrs. O.I. Kesha, the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, shared this vital information in a statement on Thursday, emphasizing the need for emergency repairs to enhance the entire section of the bridge.

To navigate the impending closure, motorists are urged to explore alternative routes such as Ojota–Ikorodu road-Funsho Williams Avenue–EKO bridge-Apogbon-CMS, Ojota-Ikorodu road-Jibowu–Yaba-Oyingbo-Iddo-Carter bridge-CMS, and Gbagada-Anthony-Ikorodu road-Funsho Williams–Eko bridge-Apogbon–CMS.

Kesha urged drivers to collaborate with traffic management officials on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow, minimizing inconvenience during the repair period. Expressing gratitude for past cooperation, she stressed the importance of continued understanding and support from the public during this essential maintenance effort.
